THE CRUEL MOM 11-15-04

Last night David called his birth mom. He calls up and says hey this is David Catherine- how are you doing? She hung up. Thinking they got accidentally disconnected, he called her right back. He calls back and she says “I don’t want to talk to you” and hangs up abruptly. Sitting to his left and hearing this my emotional reaction was to cry. He was hurt too. I could tell he was upset and disappointed. I cried for like 20 or so minutes. My sadness turned to anger towards his birth mom. Then David tells me- well it wasn’t easy giving up your only child. Then it turned to pity.
